AUSTIN, TX – In a landmark and historic vote, the U.S. Senate has voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the next Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court in a 50 to 48 vote. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey stated:

“Thank you to the members of the U.S. Senate who showed today that mobs do not overpower rights in the United States and that due process and the notion of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ remains paramount.

“Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation today is a win for the American people and the rule of law. He is an ardent defender of the Constitution and has acquired an impeccable judicial record during his service on the D.C. Circuit. He will make an exceptional Justice and a significant contributor on the Supreme Court.”
