After the Photo ID legislation, SB 14, began debate on the House floor on Monday, the bill was temporarily delayed to fix a technicality in the language as it pertains to the amount of time that voters have to legitimize their vote after casting a provisional ballot.  Shortly after debate was halted, the bill was redrafted and returned to the Special Committee on Voter Identification and Voter Fraud. With the necessary changes made to the wording, the bill now heads back to the floor for action!

The bill will be back on the House floor for debate tomorrow morning, Wednesday 3/23 at approximately 10:30am when Rep. Patricia Harless will continue defending the bill from the numerous points of order and queries from the Democrats.  If you wish to watch the floor debate you can do so by visiting this link.
