The Republican Party of Texas extends our warmest thanks to three outstanding Houston-area volunteers who donated their time and talents to help the Republican cause in this election cycle. Those individuals are Judge Ken Wise, George Fibbe, and Lucy Forbes.

Judge Ken Wise was appointed to the 152nd District Court in Harris County by Governor Rick Perry in 2002. He was elected to an unexpired term in 2002 and re-elected to a full term in 2004. Since leaving the bench, Judge Wise became a partner in the firm of Fridge, Resendez & Wise LLC, practicing in the areas of litigation, mediation, arbitration and government relations.

George Fibbe is a partner at the law firm of Yetter Coleman LLP, a 2001 graduate of Harvard Law School and has been named a “Rising Star” by Texas Monthly magazine. George is also on the board of the Houston Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society, serves as the Treasurer of the R Club.

Lucy Forbes has her own practice, The Forbes Firm, PLLC after many years as a trial lawyer and appellate lawyer for other firms. Lucy is the Vice Chairman of the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation and a member of the Appellate Sections of the Houston Bar Association and the Texas State Bar.

As part of the RPT’s Ballot Integrity Task Force, these volunteers helped in organizing and planning out a course of action for the Task Force, and their willingness to serve is very much appreciated! Thank you again!
