As Executive Director, Kyle works with the Chairman to organize and supervise the exceptional staff of the RPT. He is charged with developing a budget and ensuring that there are processes in place to execute the mission of the Republican Party of Texas. Kyle manages the relationships with the party’s outside consultants especially as the party plans for its 2018 State Convention.

Kyle and his wife live in South Austin and have three daughters.

As Special Projects Coordinator, Leslie works directly with the Chairman to manage and prioritize his schedule. This includes, scheduling speaking engagements, emails, inquiries relating to the State Party and coordinating with the County parties.

Party Operations

As Director of Party Operations, Terry works to improve overall organizational effectiveness from the State Party level all the way to the Precinct level. He also works with the legislature to advance our platform and priorities. As Director of Party Operations he works with all of the Republican County Parties throughout the state to ensure they have the tools, resources, and support to help be an effective origination to advance our goals and principles while growing the Party. As part of organizational effectiveness he provides roles and responsibility training across the State. Terry is responsible for and works with others to deliver convention training & resources, help counties identify and close gaps in organizational effectiveness and provides any assistance County Party or other republican organizations may need. Terry was elected to the SREC in 2016 and 2018, served on the legislative priorities committee, is currently serving as the Vice Chairman for the San Jacinto County Republican Party and is currently the Executive Director for Texas Carry a gun rights organization that led the way in seeing open carry legislation passed in the 2015 Legislative Session. Terry worked for the Dow chemical company for 20 years as an organizational effectiveness and culture change leader and has brought his knowledge and skills to this role. Terry is also the Pastor at Crossroads Baptist Church.

Finance

Rachel Wilson

Rachel serves as the primary in-house fundraiser, and works to maintain donor relations for RPT and Victory.

Marissa is charged with event planning and facilitating RPT’s Spring Dinner and State Convention and overseeing the Grassroots Club.

Party Organization and Primary Election Administration

As Organization Director, Brandon works with all of the Republican County Chairs throughout the state to ensure they have the tools, resources, and support to help conduct the elections across the state and to help organize their Executive Committees. As the Primary Elections Administrator he also helps supervise the conduct of the Primary with the help of the Assistant Primary Administrators, other volunteers, staff, interns, and Party & Primary Counsel.  Brandon works with the Operations Director, and others to help with convention training & resources, and to help organize the quarterly SREC meetings & activities.

Political

Mitch Carney
Political Director for RPT / Executive Director for the Volunteer Engagement Project

Mitch Carney serves as both the Political Director for the Republican Party of Texas and the Executive Director of the Volunteer Engagement Project.

He has managed and worked on some of the most competitive Republican campaigns across the country. Including Congressman Will Hurd’s extensive voter contact and turnout effort in 2016. Congressman Hurd become the first member of any party to win two consecutive elections in Texas’ Twenty-Third Congressional District.

Carney has also served as Deputy Political Director for Carly for America, Regional Political Director for The Republican Party of Texas in South Texas, assisting Governor Abbott and other Texas Republicans win landslide elections in historically Democratic seats, and directing campaign operations in states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

In Addition to his current position a Political Director of the Republican Party of Texas, Carney will also be serving as Executive Director for Republican Party of Texas Volunteer Engagement Project

Carney is originally from New Hampshire but considers Texas to be home.

Alexander Fulton
Deputy Executive Director – Volunteer Engagement Project

Alex was born and raised in Silvis, Illinois in December of 1990. Alex went to United Township High School. After graduation, Alex went to Central College in Pella, Iowa where he played both football and baseball for the Dutch for two seasons. After his Sophomore year, he transferred from Central College to Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, Illinois, where he studied Political Science, and became a member of Phi Kappa Psi, and served as President his Senior year. During college, Alex interned on now Illinois State Senator, Neil Anderson’s Campaign during the summer of 2012, as well as coached AAU baseball for his high school – which he did for three years.

Immediately after college in 2014, Alex went to work for now Iowa State Senator, Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ bid for Congress in Iowa’s Second Congressional District. After the election, Alex interned for Congressman Aaron Schock, in Washington D.C., before returning to Iowa to work for America’s Renewable Future, which was an effort to promote ethanol and biodiesel to all Presidential Candidates during the Iowa Caucus, which was led by Governor Branstad’s son, Eric Branstad. In March of 2016, Alex moved from Iowa to the Detroit Metro Area, to work for the Republican National Committee, winning Michigan for the first time since President Reagan. After leaving Michigan, Alex relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas to work for Texans for Greg Abbott as the South Texas Director. After a successful 2018 election, Alex stayed with Texans for Greg Abbott, moved to Austin, and worked to mobilize the College Republicans and the Young Republicans to register new voters within Texas.

Stephanie is a born and raised Austinite. She attended Regents School of Austin from K through 12th and then went on to continue her studies at the University of Texas at Austin. There she earned a degree in Psychology and Communications while maintaining an active role in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Stephanie worked as a sales and marketing intern for JLL and then as a fundraising and events coordinator for Austin based fundraiser Kate Doner of Doner Fundraising.

When able, Stephanie enjoys volunteering her time and resources to non-profits like Side by Side Kids, Reading is Fundamental, and Trotter House (formerly Austin Pregnancy Resource Center).

Bianca Garcia
Coalitions Director; South Texas Regional Field Director – Volunteer Engagement Project

Bianca Danielle Garcia is the current RGV Field Consultant for the Republican Party of Texas, where her focus is on voter registration and community outreach. She is studying Political Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

From 2017 to 2018, Bianca served as the president of the UTRGV College Republicans, where she moderated a mayoral candidate forum and hosted a school choice event with the Republican Party of Texas. She has also provided political commentary on Fox News South Texas on various occasions.

In the fall of 2018, Bianca was selected among thousands of applicants throughout the nation to participate in the White House Internship Program. While serving as a White House intern in the Office of Political Affairs, she completed a variety of tasks, including assisting Regional Political Directors with outreach to facilitate among local stakeholders. Within her first week of the internship, Bianca was selected to introduce Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson for the White House Internship Speaker Series. In spring 2019, Bianca was named a ‘Rising Star’ by the Republican National Committee. Recognizing her accomplishments, the small town of Donna awarded her with the Key to the City in April 2019.

Eduardo Leal

Eduardo Leal was originally born and raised in El Paso, Texas. After the 6th grade, his family moved overseas and to California where Eduardo graduated from Henry M. Gunn High School. He went on to study at the Catholic University of America where he graduated with a degree in political science and a minor in history. Being in D.C., Eduardo had the opportunity to intern on Capitol Hill for the House Republican Conference and Congressman Steve Stivers (OH-15). Following his graduation, Eduardo worked on a senatorial race in Maryland, where he gained campaign field experience. Shortly after the campaign, Eduardo stayed in D.C. working as a legal administrative assistant for a small boutique law firm until he received an opportunity to come back home. Eduardo is now back home in Texas and is excited to be working for the Volunteer Engagement Project for the central Texas region.

Lauren attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas studying political science and international relations. In 2018, Lauren joined the Texans for Greg Abbott campaign as a West Texas Field Organizer in Wichita Falls and was involved in volunteer training and recruitment. She was actively involved with the College Republicans organization and mobilized volunteer teams who helped to activate new volunteers and canvass voters throughout the Wichita Falls community. Most recently she’s been working as a legal assistant at a law firm, gaining experience in the legal profession, as she one day aspires to attend law school and work as an attorney for political campaigns and organizations. Lauren is excited for the opportunity to join the Republican Party of Texas as a Regional Field Director and work to engage and mobilize voters and volunteers in Harris County.

Taylor Converse
North Texas Regional Field Director – Volunteer Engagement Project

Taylor Converse is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelors degree in History, and a minor in Political Science. He has worked in a variety of jobs throughout college and post-graduation, all relating to customer service, ranging from sales to administrative work. He has been accepted to law schools across the nation and has aspirations to become a bar certified attorney in the future.

Upon graduation from Texas Tech University, he worked as a bail bondsman at AAA Bail Bonds in Lubbock, Texas, and later completed the RLI internship in the same region. After the completion of the LSAT, he worked as a Field Organizer for Texans For Greg Abbott in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. He consistently met and exceeded a quota of 600 ID’s per week, while continuing to recruit and manage volunteers and interns.

In addition to meeting recruitment quotas, he managed and lead training sessions over Advantage software and application, as well as organized and directed regular weekly phone banks. He simultaneously completed an internship at the Ft. Worth Military Museum, while working for Governor Abbott. Upon completion of the Abbott Campaign, he began a commercial real estate internship with Skywalker Property Partners, under the Communications and Acquisitions branch. He is currently in customer service, awaiting future opportunities.

Sarah Lara

Sarah Lara was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. In June of 2017, Sarah was hired on with Texans for Greg Abbott as a field organizer in El Paso.

In May 2018, Sarah was promoted to West Texas Regional Director. As regional director, she spent her time managing a team of field organizers as well as engaging with volunteers and local communities and leaders to bring about change and revitalization to the West Texas region.
