At the recent June quarterly meeting in Austin, the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) inducted the Hispanic inclusion organization, “GOPisForMe” into the State Party as an official Auxiliary. The organization, directed by Duke Machado of Woodway, was founded in 2009 as a means to communicate and build a conservative political bridge into the Hispanic community.

Mr. Machado stated, “With active organizations and affiliates in McLennan, Falls, Navarro, Brazos and Bosque counties, we can engage Hispanic communities throughout central Texas with this important initiative. The intent is to teach the political process to those who have not been a part of it and help the community understand their ability to be active in conservative politics and elections. In addition, special programs dealing with education and teen pregnancy are an important factor in our outreach”.
