The Republican Party of Texas is excited to announce Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick will chair the Victory 2014 effort.  As Chair, Commissioner Craddick is committed to leading the Republican team into the election this fall – raising the needed funds to finance an extensive and comprehensive political operation that will identify, register and turn out voters in the coming months of the election year.

Craddick“I am proud to serve Texas as Chair of the Victory 2014 effort.  I look forward to working side by side with the Republican Party of Texas and the Republican nominees, as we take the Republican message of personal freedom, limited government, and lower taxes to all Texas voters. As the demographics of this state continue to change, it is critical that we have the resources necessary to increase efforts this election cycle in identifying and recruiting voters who share our values, in an effort to ensure that Texas remains a strong and prosperous Republican state,” Craddick said.

RPT Chairman Steve Munisteri welcomed Commissioner Craddick’s leadership by stating: “The Republican Party of Texas is very appreciative of Commissioner Craddick’s willingness to serve as our statewide Victory Chair. There is no doubt she’ll make a superb one.  Commissioner Craddick brings a unique blend of experience, as someone who has grown up in a Republican political family, has run a political action committee in the past and now serves as a statewide elected official. We are excited to have the benefit of her leadership.  I am 100% confident that with Commissioner Craddick on board we will have successful results this November.  On behalf of the RPT, I thank her for willingness to serve and for the commitment of time and effort she has made.”

Just as important as having a focused and aggressive Victory Chair, the campaign will be coordinating activity and resources with our nominees, who have been involved in drafting the plan and are committed to assisting in financing the efforts.  Today, those who lead our ticket applauded the announcement:

Attorney General Greg Abbott: “This is a historic time for the Republican Party in Texas, and I couldn’t think of a better selection than Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick to help lead Republicans to victory in 2014. Christi has been a uniting voice within our Party, and I know her leadership will ensure we elect Republicans across our great state in November.”

U.S. Senator John Cornyn: “For Republicans to win in November and take back our country we must unite our coalition and welcome all those who share our principles and values,” said Sen. John Cornyn. “I’m proud to help lead this fight as Conservatives band together to stop the Obama machine in Texas and keep our state on the right track on Election Day.”

Senator Glenn Hegar, Republican nominee for Comptroller: “I am very excited that Commissioner Craddick will be leading RPT’s victory effort this cycle. I look forward to working with Commissioner Craddick and our other state and local candidates to turn our voters out this November. It is imperative that Republicans stand shoulder to shoulder to send a strong message to President Obama that Texas will remain the conservative strong hold of America.”

George P. Bush, Republican nominee for Land Commissioner: “Christi Craddick is a proven winner and a great choice to be Victory chair. But she will be more than just the chair, she will be a leader. And her leadership will ensure that our Republican team has the resources and organization needed to win in November.”
