Primary Elections – 2020 Runoff
- First Day to Apply for a Ballot by Mail: Wednesday, January 1, 2020 *First day to file does not move because of New Year’s Day holiday. An “Annual ABBM” or FPCA for a January of February 2020 election may be filed earlier, but not earlier than the 60th day before the date of the January of February election.
- Last Day to Register to Vote: Monday, June 15, 2020
- First Day of Early Voting: Monday, June 29, 2020
- Last Day to Apply for a Ballot by Mail (request must be received, not merely postmarked ): Thursday July 2, 2020
- Last Day of Early Voting: Friday, July 10, 2020
- Deadline for Ballot by Mail to be Received: Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. (unless overseas deadline applies)
General Elections – November 2020

Voting by Mail
To be eligible to vote early by mail in Texas, you must:
- Be 65 years or older. You may apply for a ballot for an individual election or for an annual application which will apply for the remainder of the voting year
- Be disabled. You may apply for a ballot for an individual election or for an annual application which will apply for the remainder of the voting year
- Be out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance
- Or be confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.
