It has become abundantly clear that Democrats across the country plan to use the pandemic to force mail-in ballots to flood the country. This would undermine election integrity by dumping millions of loose ballots across the nation. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Harris County, Texas where Chris Hollins, the County Clerk and Texas Democrat Party Treasurer, is pushing to dump 2.7 million mail-in ballots in his jurisdiction.
Eric Holder, Chair of the National Democrat Redistricting Committee, published an op-ed in Time magazine on April 14th where he highlighted his desire to restructure the American electoral process.
“It would be foolhardy to take these pro-democracy measures off the table after we get on the other side of the virus. These are changes that we should make permanent because it will enhance our democracy.”
These plans include massively increasing mail-in voting and creating at-home voting options.
Allowing our electoral processes to be altered during the pandemic will embolden Democrats to codify those changes permanently. Their goal is to use this emergency to undermine our elections and legitimize processes that harm the value of each citizen’s vote.
As Mayor Rahm Emanual said, “never let a good crisis go to waste.”
