Rep. Dennis Bonnen (R-Angleton), Chairman of the House Select Committee on Voter ID and Vote Fraud has announced that SB14 will be heard in committee on Tuesday, March 1. 

The State Affairs Committee is led by Chairman Byron Cook, and all nine Republican members of the committee voted for passing the bill out of committee.

The purpose of this legislation is to establish a uniform and consistent standard for all Texas law enforcement when it comes to enforcing federal immigration laws.

SB 16 passed by a vote of 21- 10 with 18 Republican legislators voting for the bill. We thank our Senators for taking leadership for the protection of life and a woman's right to be fully informed!

For all those who have been involved in Harris County politics over the years Chairwoman Palm is truly a legend. She worked tirelessly for years to build up the Harris County party at a time when Democrats were solidly in control.
